Special Event Vendors
Special Events
A Special Event Vendor is defined as a vendor who sets up a booth or occupies a specific area at a special event, such as, but not limited to, a festival, parade, or exposition for the purposes of selling goods and services at that special event.

All Special Event Vendors are required to obtain a City of Charleston Business License.

Categories
Itinerant Vendor
A Special Event Vendor is considered an Itinerant Vendor if their business location is not physically located in the City of Charleston.

Home Occupation
If the Special Event Vendor is physically located in the City of Charleston and operates their business out of their home then they will follow the Home Occupation Process.

New Business
If the Special Event Vendor is physically located in the City of Charleston in a commercial location and already has a business license then no action needs to be taken. Please note that if it is a new business and does not have a business license then the vendor should go through the New Business License Process.
