5th Avenue

Traffic will be detoured on 5th Avenue until the construction and stabilization of the culvert crossing are completed. Road closure signs and detour route signs will be in place to direct all traffic along the proposed detour route. The proposed detour for 5th Avenue will consist of re-routing traffic to Ashley River Road, Sycamore Avenue, and Battery Avenue. The 5th Avenue detour is expected to begin in mid-January 2017 and last until late May 2017.

St. Andrews Blvd

Traffic along St. Andrews Blvd will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Traffic will be temporarily shifted in three phases, while maintaining all four travel lanes, to accommodate the phased installation of the box culvert under St. Andrews Blvd. Bike lanes will be eliminated temporarily during the traffic shifts. A single sidewalk, on one side or the other of St. Andrews Blvd, will be maintained throughout the duration of construction to accommodate pedestrian traffic. The traffic shifts at St. Andrews Blvd. are expected to begin February 2017 and last until September 2017.
