American Rescue Plan Act Grants

Non-Profit Organizations and Public Agencies desiring to apply for grants for calendar year 2022 from the City of Charleston funded by the American Rescue Plan Act can obtain an application online at http://www.charleston-sc.gov.

The American Rescue Plan Act provides Federal funds to states, counties and municipalities to respond to the public health emergency with respect to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic or its negative economic impacts. A portion of the funds received by the City of Charleston can be used to provide assistance to nonprofits or aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel and hospitality.

Applying organizations should be located within the City of Charleston or be able to demonstrate that their programs provide services within the City of Charleston. Detailed instructions are available online at http://www.charleston-sc.gov. Applicants must be a non-profit organization.  This funding is not available to for-profit businesses or individuals.

Deadline for applications to be received by the City is September 30, 2021 by 3:00 p.m. Applications received after this date and time will not be considered.
