The City of Charleston celebrates the holiday season this December with Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston, offering FREE, family-friendly activities, live performances and decorations all around town for everyone in the community to enjoy together. We hope you will join us in helping make Holiday Magic!

Event Schedule:

  • Holiday Market
    • 12/5, 6, 12, 13, 19 & 20
    • Saturdays & Sundays, (9am-3pm)
    • Marion Square
    • Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus begin 12/6
  • Student Performance Day
    • 12/11
    • Friday (10am-5pm)
    • Student performances and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus throughout the day
    • Marion Square
  • Holiday Parade
    • 12/6
    • Sunday, 2pm
    • Broad Street, King Street, Calhoun Street, disperses on Calhoun between King and Meeting Streets
  • Chanukah in the Square
    • 12/6
    • Sunday, (4-6pm)
    • Marion Square
    • Presented in partnership with the Yaschik/Arnold Jewish Studies program at the College of Charleston and Chabad of the Lowcountry
  • Parade of Boats

Enjoy two hours of free parking through January 1, 2016 at designated garages! 

Charleston County Parking Operations gladly accepts the City of Charleston “Holiday Magic Parking Voucher”. Charleston County operates the garages on Cumberland Street and at King and Queen streets. In those garages, the voucher must be exchanged for a barcoded coupon at the garage office between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The office is on the second floor of the garage at King and Queen and on the first floor of the Cumberland Street garage. In the other participating garages, operated by the city, the vouchers can be redeemed with the attendant at the exit.
