[ARCHIVED] Charleston Farmers Market to Begin 2019 Season Saturday, April 13

The Charleston Farmers Market will return to Marion Square to begin its 2019 season on Saturday, April 13, operating from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weekly Saturday markets will continue through Saturday, November 30, with additional markets planned for select Sundays during Spoleto (Sunday, May 26 and Sunday, June 2; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with Holiday Market dates to follow on Saturdays and Sundays in December, continuing through Sunday, December 22, 2019.

Founded in 1989 with the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the Charleston Farmers Market is produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, in cooperation with the City of Charleston Parks Department and the City’s Special Events Committee. The Charleston Farmers Market is dedicated to the support and advocacy of Lowcountry farmers and growers. With over 100 vendors and exhibitors, the weekly market offers a seasonal range of local produce, plants, herbs and fresh cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch options, an assortment of artisanal crafts, community groups, live performances and a variety of activities.
