The Office of Public Affairs at the Charleston Police Department is an important component of the Office of the Chief of Police. Commanded by a Lieutenant, the team is tasked with overseeing all public communications and media relations. Comprised of officers and staff from various roles within the department, the Office of Public Affairs ensures that information is efficiently relayed to the public with the capacity to operate around the clock every day of the year.
