Child Safety Seat Installations

The Charleston Fire Department (CFD) will schedule routine child safety seat checkpoints around the area to educate parents and caregivers on the proper installation of car seats.  Please note that at this time we do not conduct unscheduled inspections or drop ins at a fire station. 

The CFD has entered into a partnership with MUSC  and area emergency responders to conduct education checkpoints on the 1st Wednesday of the month at the Charleston RiverDogs Stadium parking lot, located at 360 Fishburne Street.  Caregivers should check the current schedule and must use this link to register for a time slot.
