Captain
Chito Walker began his professional law enforcement career with the
Charleston Police Department in 2000. He currently serves as the
Division Commander of Professional Standards, which encompasses Internal
Affairs, the Office of Professional Development and Training, CALEA
Accreditation, and the Recruiting and Retention Unit.

During
his tenure, Captain Walker has served in numerous command capacities to
include:
- Central Investigations Property Crimes Commander
- Command Duty Officer
- Special Operations Commander
- SWAT Commander
- Team 4Commander
- West Patrol Division Commander
Education
Captain
Walker holds a Bachelor's Degree from South Carolina State University
in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Management from Webster
University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Session 260),
Department of Homeland Security Leadership Academy (Session 5), and the
South Carolina Command College. Captain Walker also has had the
privilege of attending numerous training courses in tactics,
investigations, and leadership throughout his professional career.
