The Transportation Project Management Division is responsible for conducting all traffic and transportation engineering studies, as well as reviewing transportation and parking modifications within the city. These reviews include the Technical Review Committee (TRC), roadway construction plan review, and traffic impact study review.
The reviews verify compliance with standard engineering design principles, including AASHTO, Manual on uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and Institution of Transportation Engineers (ITE) standards. Transportation Project Management works closely with local engineering firms to ensure that all proposals are to city standards. Transportation Project Management coordinates, performs, and reviews traffic signal studies and signal plans with the support of other divisions within the department.
Transportation project management also participates in the adjudication of parking citations, mitigation of parking design, and signage issues.
