The Central Investigative Division is commanded by a Captain of Police assisted by three Lieutenants.
Units
The Bureau is divided into the following:
- Crime Analysis Unit
- Crime Intelligence Unit and Forensic Services
- Crimes Against Persons Unit
- Field Intelligence Unit
- Property Crimes Unit
- Special Investigations Unit to include Narcotics and Vice
- Special Victim Unit
- Stolen Vehicle
- White Collar Crimes
Crimes
These investigations are the most serious or complex crimes. These types of crimes often require a team approach with several investigators working together or with outside agencies to successfully solve and apprehend offenders. Each Unit is staffed with specialists on the investigation of crimes specific to the Unit.
