The City of Charleston's Department of Planning, Preservation, and Sustainability recently completed a special area master plan for the Calhoun Street-East/Cooper River Waterfront Area of the City.
In 2003 the City worked with residents and other stakeholders on a plan for the Charleston Neck area. Using this plan as a guide, the developers of Magnolia created a conceptual development plan.
In 1997, the City of Charleston held a workshop for residents, businesses, and institutions in the area along Spring and Cannon Streets, which resulted in the Spring Cannon Corridor Plan that was adopted by City Council in 1998.
