About the Lowline:
The Lowline is a multi-phase initiative transforming the former rail corridor beneath I-26 into a linear park and mobility pathway. Phase 1A — the first segment to move forward — will create a 1.6-mile pedestrian and bicycle corridor from Mount Pleasant Street to Line Street, along with new public amenities, lighting, and safety features. This phase establishes the foundation for a connected greenway that will enhance mobility, expand public space, and strengthen neighborhood connections.
