Purpose of the Early Learning Action Team
The Lowcountry Early Learning Action Team was created after the City of Charleston and Tri-County Cradle to Career were selected by the National League of Cities to participate in a technical assistance project aimed at helping cities and communities strategize about how they can improve conditions within the early learning environment for children, practitioners, parents/families, and businesses.
Recognizing the need for accessible, affordable, high-quality childcare, the members of the team came together to begin discussing the challenges for each stakeholder group.
Early Learning Summit- June 2024
To provide an opportunity for the community to engage in a broader conversation about childcare and how we can work to make it more accessible, affordable and ensure high quality for parents/caregivers, we are hosting a Summit on June 18, 2024, at Trident Technical College Main Campus. This will be a jumping off point for our community to continue looking at strategies that can work in our region.
