Process for Elevation Projects

The owner should first contact Floodplain Management to evaluate the existing site considerations as well as the owner’s interests.

An elevation project is feasible for a wide variety of structures, foundation types, and personal circumstances. This includes masonry and historic buildings. Funding sources, such as FEMA Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) coverage, may be available to owners undertaking an elevation project.

The following diagram outlines each required step for an elevation project.
